Update 1 February 2023: Murray River High Flows

Murray Princess Mannum

16/01/2023

The SA State government continues to enforce restrictions on boating and water activities on the Murray River between the SA border and the Murray Mouth. The Murray Princess is currently not operating for the safety of guests and crew, and we have ensured all those with booked cruising through the period to the end of March 16 2023 have been contacted.

The SA government acknowledges that the rules will be reassessed as water levels fall, with State Emergency Services chief executive officer Chris Beattie saying this was likely to be by February. We're hopeful we're able to begin cruising in March, but will take a wait-and-see approach to ensure the safety of our guests and crew.

As this is a rapidly developing situation, we will provide further updates impacting Murray Princess cruises as required. To stay updated more broadly on the flood situation, please visit https://www.sa.gov.au/topics/emergencies-and-safety/river-murray-flood

Our thoughts continue to be with those currently affected by the high river flows along our beautiful Murray River. We'd also like to take the opportunity to thank our cruise passengers for their understanding and encourage people to safely visit this beautiful region in support of affected communities during this challenging time.

We look forward to being back sailing on the Mighty Murray as soon as it is safe to do so in 2023.
